The Tear of Guilt

A tear formed at the bridge of my nose
When I thought about the day I left you
It refused to flow down the cheek, though
Fighting against the gravitational force.
Bottled up emotions,
Thoughts of you tried to push it down,
As many more tears waited in line to flow
Finally, out they came from the other eye -
As this one was still stuck there, unmoved
Losing its fluidity, soft drop hard as stone.

It wanted to stay back, later I knew -
Because it was the tear of guilt...
And your guilt always stays with you.
