Waiting

Silent
Engulfed by darkness
Weeping alone
In some corner -
Invisible to everyone
He spends his time, waiting -
for someone to come
To hold him, support him
Love him, care for him.
Give him a shoulder to cry
Hopes to cling on to -
Life worth living
Love, that completes him.

He waits, still.
As she sits silently next to him
Engulfed by darkness
Unseen by him -
No sound, no movement,
Else his ears would hear -
What his eyes cannot see.
She fears his hatred -
His confession that he needs no one,
Not even her to complete his life
But, she is incomplete -
Without him.
