I have had my dreams
I have lived my life
wheeled through the forbidden corners
cruised through the smooth roads
I have had my ideas
implemented them in my life
did all that I could do
even what I was not meant to
learned, grew up ...
faced life head on,
all with a smile on my lips.
yes, I did cry at times,
stumbled down -
often too close to the top,
I got up, took a deep breath and -
tried again.
this time, with more confidence.
I know I have a long way to go but,
I have reached a point -
where I can be assured,
"I am almost there”
I know it,
I can feel it in my bones.
