A Dedication - atipriya mavshis ...

She came to me
In the silence of the night
Touched my cheek -
And woke me up
She kissed me and hugged me
Told me she loved me
Like a mother would love her daughter.
I stretched out my arm
To touch her -
Woke up alone in my room;
Realised it was a dream.
I tried to fall asleep again;
I wanted to tell her I loved her, too
I should have -
Then and there, before.
I could not sleep again -
And was left alone in my room, crying.
Only solace -
She knew how much I loved her;
Loved her -
Like a daughter would love her mother.
And -
A little more.

A dedication. shradhanjali.
